The Ultimate Big Kid Grilled Cheese with Formosa Hot Sauce

Directions

  1. Use butter, and salt your skillet before adding the bread.
  2. Griddle the bread on both sides.
  3. Add cheese liberally.
  4. Cook your sandwich at medium-low heat.
  5. Swirl sandwich around the skillet with light pressure as it cooks.
  6. Serve 'em while they're hot!

Ingredients

5oz Bottle of Formosa Hot Sauce (Chipotle or Habanero)

Loaf Artisan Sourdough bread (1 inch slices)

Gruyère & American Cheese (sliced)

Tomatoes (sliced or diced)

½ lb.  baby spinach

¼ cup virgin olive oil

 

Pan Seared Salmon with Formosa Hot Sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. (you can also sauté or grill)
  2. Apply 3 tablespoons of Formosa Hot Sauce to salmon until completely glazed.
  3. Let salmon sit for about 30 minutes.
  4. Drizzle some olive oil on a non-stick baking sheet or in a non-stick pan with an oven-proof handle and place salmon skin side down.
  5. Bake until salmon is cooked through out, about 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Drizzle more Formosa Sauce and Serve with Rice or Salad if desired.

5oz Bottle of Formosa Hot Sauce Chipotle

12 ounce salmon fillet, cut into 4 pieces

Freshly ground black pepper

Extra-virgin olive oil

 

Margarita Pizza with Formosa Hot Sauce

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat to 500 degrees and place a pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet on bottom oven rack.
  2. Stretch 1 pound dough on a floured wooden cutting board.
  3. Pour Formosa Hot Sauce and spread on dough leaving half inch border.
  4. Add toppings evenly (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and Basil) then slide the pizza onto the stone or baking sheet. Bake about 15 minutes, or until crust becomes golden brown.
  5. Let it cool for 2 minutes and sprinkle virgin olive oil before cutting.

INGREDIENTS:

5oz bottle of Formosa Hot (Chipotle or Habanero)

1 Pound ready to bake pizza dough

1 Pound fresh mozzarella cheese

½ Pound cherry tomatoes sliced in half

15 Fresh basil leaves

2 Tablespoons of virgin olive oil

 

Stuffed Mushrooms with Formosa Hot Sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Stir bread crumbs, Pecorino Romano, garlic, parsley, mint, salt and pepper, 2 tablespoons olive oil and 2 tablespoons of Formosa Hot Sauce in a bowl to blend.
  3. Drizzle a large baking sheet with about 1 tablespoon olive oil, to coat.
  4. Spoon the filling into the mushroom cavities and arrange on the baking sheet.
  5. Drizzle remaining oil over the filling in each mushroom.
  6. Bake about 25 min. or until the mushrooms are tender golden brown.
  7. Drizzle Formosa Hot Sauce and serve.

1/2 cup grated Pecorino Romano or cheese of your choice

2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

2 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley leaves

1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

28 large (2 1/2 in. diameter) white mushrooms, stemmed

 

Huevos Rancheros with Formosa Hot Sauce

Ingredients:

1 can of refried beans

4 tortillas

Olive oil, for brushing

4 large eggs

Avocado, sliced

Cilantro, for garnish

Formosa Chipotle Hot Sauce, to serve

Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F. Heat up refried beans over medium heat.
  2. Brush tortillas with olive oil and place on a baking sheet, and put them in the oven for 10 minutes, or until crispy.
  3. Heat olive oil and fry the eggs in a large skillet. Remove the tortillas from the oven and let cool.
  4. To serve, top tortillas with beans, egg, cilantro, avocado, and Formosa Chipotle Hot Sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Formosa Original Recipes

 

2 ½ ounces Formosa Original Hot Sauce

2 ½ ounces Formosa Chipotle Hot Sauce

6 ounces hot links or smoked sausage

6 ounces chicken (white or dark meat)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 whole green, red and yellow bell pepper

½ cup of tomato sauce

1 minced clove garlic 

½ large onion 

3 large wild mushrooms

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup organic parsley 

Parmesan cheese

Formosa Cajun Pasta

Cook pasta according to package direction. Drain; set aside. Chop links and chicken to desired size. Season chicken with pepper and salt. Dice peppers into small square. Chop onion into small squares. Slice wild mushrooms. Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and hot links cook for about 3 minutes over medium heat on each side. Add garlic, onions stir in and cook for about 1 minute. Add wild mushrooms and all bell peppers cook for additional 2 minutes. Stir in ½ cup of tomato sauce. Stir in 2 ½ oz. of Formosa Original Hot Sauce and 2 ½ oz. Formosa Chipotle Hot Sauce.  Cook together for an additional minute. Stir in cook pasta mix together, tossing to coat well; remove from heat. Garnish with organic parsley and parmesan cheese to taste.

5 ounces Formosa Chipotle Hot Sauce

½ pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined (about 12 large shrimp, 21 to 25 count) 

½ large onion

½ green bell pepper

½ red bell pepper

1 minced clove garlic

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

¼ teaspoons crushed black pepper

¼ teaspoon salt

 

Sauté Chipotle Prawns

Chop onion and bell peppers in long thin strips. Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Add garlic and shrimp sauté over medium heat for about 45 seconds on each side turning occasionally until shrimp are opaque. Remove from heat place to the side. Add all vegetables sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add shrimp and 5 oz. of Formosa Chipotle Hot Sauce. Sauté together for an additional minute; remove from heat.

Wine pairing Sauvignon Blanc

7-10 oz. New York Steak

3 ounces Formosa Original Hot Sauce

5 tablespoon soy sauce

2 tablespoon olive oil

½ -1 cup white wine

1 whole lime

Formosa New York Steak

Pierce the steak with a fork about 12 times and place in resealable plastic bag with soy sauce, white wine, lime juice, lime wedges, 1 tablespoon olive oil and Formosa Original Hot Sauce. Seal the bag, shake to coat the meat and marinate for at least 4 hours or up until a day before cooking. 

Pre heat oven to 450 degrees. Remove the steak from the marinade. Prepare a grill for direct and indirect heat or heat a grill pan over medium-high and medium-low heat. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in medium skillet or pan. Sear meat on each side for 4 minutes; remove. Place New York steak in pan inside oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven garnish with your favorite Formosa Hot Sauce.
